DIRECTIONS TO READING CENTRAL

From the M4 motorway, junction 11:
Follow the signs for Reading (A33). Continue straight on at four roundabouts. At the next group of traffic lights
there is a BP garage on the left. At these traffic lights, follow the main road (A33) as it
bends to the right and then get into the left lane. Pass under the iron bridge. Keep in the left
lane through the next group of traffic lights and up the slope into the slip road
from the Inner Distribution Road. ** (if you are going to the public car park at Chatham Place do not take the slip road but continue along the duel carriageway to the next exit).
***To reach the Army hall turn left at the top of the slip road at the roundabout into Castle Hill. (if you are going to the public car park at the Broad Street Mall go right at the roundabout - 3rd exit)
See map for details. Continue up Castle Hill to the traffic lights and turn right. Immediately turn right again into Russell Street.
At the crossroads, turn right and then take the third turning on the right into Anstey Road. The Salvation Army is at the end on the left.
Car parking:
Car parking on Sundays is difficult. We have a small car park at the Salvation Army but is is often full on Sundays but you are welcome to use it if there is room. There are public car parks 5 - 6 minutes walk away

Chatham Place Car Park
To reach this car park, follow the instructions above as far as ** Do not take the slip road from the duel carriageway but continue to the next exit. Leave at this exit then at the roundabout take the first exit and then take the first turn on the left. The car park is entrance is on the left.
On leaving the car park turn right at the pedestrian exit and at the end turn left into Eaton Place. At the end turn left into Oxford road. Just before the road crosses over the top of the duel carriageway road turn right into Howard Street. Keeping the duel carriageway road on your left walk to the roundabout. The Salvation Army hall will be on your right. It will take about 5 minutes.
Broad Street Mall Car Park
To reach this car park, follow the instructions above as far as ***. At the top of the slip road go right at the roundabout. Take the first left at the mini-roundabout; then follow the signs.
After parking your car leave by the southerly staircase (this is on the wall with open areas in it and is adjacent to the council offices).
From the exit at ground level stand with your back to the exit and head forward, over a raised area, towards the Magistrates Court.
Pass around the right side of Magistrates Court and at the road (Castle Street) turn right. At the roundabout you will see the Reading Central building ahead of you.
