The Centre is open from 10.00 to 3.30 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays offering meals and access to a range of services. Soup and sandwiches are served on Saturday evenings. The services are offered free to those coming to the Centre (the guests), on a "Drop-In" basis, and without conditions or judgements. Whilst the hot meal is the centre-point of the weekday opening, guests are also able to obtain baths/showers, clothes and access to a range of services offered by specialists visiting the Centre. These include a number of medical services, housing information and legal advice.

CIRDIC is a registered charity established in 1990 by Churches Together in Reading to help the homeless and needy in the Reading area.
The Centre Manager is paid, but volunteers carry out all the activities.
